The building is the historic courthouse, built in the 1890’s by convict settlers. It has now been converted into comfortable weekend accommodation.
The old holding cells have been turned into bathrooms (with underfloor heating – something we are sure the old visitors to the cells would have appreciated) , and there is a casual dining area in the old exercise yard.
There are fires located throughout the building, for those cooler nights, which create a really snug, warm and cosy environment – the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.
St Albans is a majestic location. For the more adventurous guests there are fantastic bush walks, river swimming, kayaking, and bike rides. For those that are looking for a more relaxed visit, why not take a gentle country stroll followed by a long, lazy lunch a the Settlers Inn (the only pub in town!)
